Christopher Named MPSF Player of the Week
Junior Chari Christopher was named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Player of the Week on Monday, the first time a Matador women's water polo player has earned the award.

Christopher scored 15 goals in a four-match span last week, including the game-winner in the Matadors' 10-9 win at 11th-ranked San Diego State on Sunday. Christopher also scored six goals against Redlands and four times against Cal State Bakersfield, both Matador victories. On the season, the junior leads the team with 33 goals.

Christopher shared this week's honor with Emily Feher of UCLA, but it marks the first time in the 1 1/2 years that the Matadors have been members of the MPSF that they have garnered a Player of the Week award.

The 17th-ranked Matadors return to Matador Pool for two home matches this week. On Thursday, CSUN will take on sixth-ranked California at 3 p.m. and on Saturday, the Matadors host #20 Pacific at Noon.
