Santa Clara, Calif. - Whitney Delgado tied a school record with her 73rd and 74th goals of the season to help lead Cal State Northridge to an 11-7 victory over Santa Clara in the regular season finale (27-7) at the Sullivan Aquatic Center.

Delgado had entered Sunday's game with 72 goals. Delgado's two goals against the Broncos tied her for the single season school record set by Chari Christopher during the 2005 season.

Chelsea Curran tallied a team-high and season-high four goals against the Broncos. Curran's scoring output was one short of her single game record set against Indiana two seasons ago.

Cal State Northridge led from start-to-finish. Curran scored CSUN's first two goals and Delgado tallied on a five-meter penalty shot with 6:04 left in the first period. The fast start gave CSUN a 4-1 lead after the first period.

The Matadors outscored Santa Clara in two of the next three periods.

Over in Stockton, 16th-ranked Pacific defeated 12th-ranked UC Santa Barbara, 13-9, on Sunday afternoon to finish in a first place tie with Cal State Northridge at 4-1 in the Big West Conference final regular season standings.

UOP's 8-7 "sudden victory" decision over Cal State Northridge on Saturday earned the Tigers the #1 seed at the upcoming Big West Tournament (April. 23-25) at Long Beach State.

A Gaucho victory over Pacific on Sunday would have given the Matadors the #1 seed, but that didn't happened. Cal State Northridge and Pacific tied for first place at 4-1. Pacific finished the regular season 22-9 overall.
