Cal State Northridge Powers Past Villanova, 13-6

Thousand Oaks, Calif. - Two goals apiece by Whitney Delgado, Kirra Kylander, Renee Gargiulo, Sydney Sonoda and Kristin McLaughlin powered the tenth-ranked Cal State Northridge women's water polo team to a convincing 13-6 victory over Villanova University on Sunday afternoon at the Cal Lutheran Invitational.

Delgado now has 15 goals thus far in the tournament. Delgado has a team-leading 42 goals.

The Matadors got off to a strong start, taking a 5-3 first period lead, and extending the lead to five goals, 9-4, at halftime.

Eight different Matador players scored at least one goal to give the Matadors their 14th victory in 19 games.

At 5:15 p.m. today, Cal State Northridge plays its fifth and final game at the Cal Lutheran Invitational against Penn State Behrand at the Cal Lutheran pool.
