Assistant Coach

Two Seasons

Alicia Robinson opens her third season as a member of the Cal State Northridge coaching staff in 2011. She was named an assistant coach on Jeff Stork's staff on August 25, 2009.

Robinson brings several years of coaching experience along with a wealth of playing experience with her to Northridge. She began her coaching career as an assistant at Harvard-Westlake High School in 2005 and has also coached collegiately at Pierce College in Woodland Hills in 2006. Robinson returned to the high school ranks as the head girls volleyball coach at Marlborough School in Los Angeles in 2008 before returning to her alma mater, USC as the Athletic Administrative Assistant.

Robinson is also a very successful club coach as she has led the Santa Monica Beach Club 17-1's for six seasons. This past season, she took her team for the first time to the Junior Olympics in Atlanta, Ga. and placed 13th. In 2006, she guided her team to a Top Eight finish at the Volleyball Festival in her first season. Her squads performed well in both 2007 and 2008, finishing in third-place at the Volleyball Festival.

A native of Phoenix, Ariz., Robinson is a 2005 graduate of the University of Southern California. She enjoyed a stellar collegiate playing career as the Trojans won National Championships in 2002 and 2003. Robinson was an honorable mention All-American in 2001 and was also a three-time Pac-10 All-Academic selection (2002-04) before earning her bachelor's degree from the Annenberg School of Communications in 2005.
