Whitney Hooks concluded her Matador career with a fourth-place finish in the shot put at the Big West Championship ... finished with a top throw of 45-5.75 (13.86) in the final ... season-best of 46-1.50 (14.06) came at the Cal-Nevada Championships where she finished in seventh-place ... also posted a season-best of 135-10 (41.40) in the hammer also at the Cal-Nevada Championships ... placed seventh in the shot at the MPSF Indoor Championships after throwing a season-best 45-9 (13.94).

Hooks qualified for her third consecutive NCAA West Region Championship in the shot put ... finished 18th with a season-best mark of 49-1.50 (14.97) ... finished fourth in the shot at the Big West Championship after throwing a best of 44-5.25 (13.54) ... also placed sixth in the hammer with a best of 159-11 (48.74) and was ninth in the discus with a personal-best 141-2 (43.03) ... tied for sixth in the shot put at the MPSF Indoor Championships with a season-best 45-5.25.

Reached her second consecutive NCAA West Regional in the shot put ... threw a career-best 50-6 (15.39) to finish first in her section and seventh overall ... her throw ranks sixth in Northridge outdoor history ... placed third in the shot put at the Big West Championships with a mark of 45-8 (13.92) ... also threw season-bests of 135-3 (41.22) in the discus and 139-9 (42.61) in the hammer ... finished sixth with a mark of 45-7.75 (13.91) in the shot at the at the MPSF Indoor Championships ... tossed an indoor personal-best 47-9.75 (14.57) at the Bengal Shootout in Pocatello, Idaho (Jan. 16) which ninth in Matador indoor history.

Reached the NCAA West Regional in the shot put where she finished 15th with a mark of 46-3.50 (14.11) ... finished third in the shot put at the Big West Outdoor Championships helping the Matadors to their third consecutive women's championship ... threw 46-2 (14.07) at the Big West meet while posting a season-best 47-6.25 (14.48) at the USC Trojan Invitational ... went on to the NCAA West Regional where she placed 15th with a throw of 46-3.50 (14.11) ... did not compete during the indoor season.

Redshirted as a true freshman at the University of Washington in 2007.
