Bridget Anderson has completed her sixth season on the Track & Field coaching staff in 2011. Anderson is in charge of the Matador pole vaulters as well as the teams' strength and conditioning in addition to assisting with the multi-events.

In her six seasons, Anderson has helped the Matador women to three Big West pole vault titles, Krystal Quinn in 2008 and Tiana Webberley in 2010 and 2011. On the men's side, Sean Jones finished as Big West runner-up in both 2006 and 2007 and Anthony Orozco tied for fifth in 2010. Quinn, Webberley and Megan Hill all competed for Pearson and hold the top-three positions on the Matador career pole vault list.

A 2004 graduate of UCLA, Anderson came to Cal State Northridge after serving the 2004-05 season as the head track & field coach at Hoover High School in Glendale, Calif. Prior to that, Anderson was the head cross country coach at Hoover during the 2003-04 season. She also gained coaching experience at her alma mater working as a coaching assistant at UCLA's pre-vault camp in 2001.

The former Bridget Pearson competed as a pole vaulter at UCLA from 1999-2004, winning the Irish Nationals in 2000. She prepped at Hoover High School where she was an All-American in the pole vault all four years. She was the state champion in 1997 and claimed the CIF title in 1999 and went on to finish fourth at nationals. She also competed in volleyball and water polo before graduating in 1999.

Anderson is married to current Matador head coach Avery Anderson and the couple have a son, Andy.
