Carlsen appeared in 37 games and made 30 starts in rookie season ... batted .174 with 15 hits, 13 runs scored, three doubles, two home runs, 10 RBIs, 24 total bases, 10 walks, two sac bunts and four stolen bases ... hit first career home run in first career game (Liberty, Feb. 6) ... had season-high two hits on three separate occasions ... drove in season-high two RBIs in two different games ... also blasted a home run against Portland State on Mar. 8 ... sported a .966 fielding percentage, making 14 put-outs and 14 assists ... recorded season-high two stolen bases at UC Davis on May 8.

Carlsen played four seasons of softball for the Cougars under head coach Jeff Davidson ... earned All-High Desert League honors following all four seasons ... member of back-to-back Nevada state softball championship teams ... named to All-Nevada State Softball Team in 2007 and 2008 ... graduated in 2008 with a 3.0 GPA.
