Northridge Celebrates Senior Day with 7-3 Victory over UC Davis 5/10/08 The Cal State Northridge softball team (23-24, 12-9) defeated UC Davis, 7-3, Saturday at Matador Diamond in a Big West Conference game. On senior day, the Matadors rallied in the fifth and sixth inning to take the victory in the regular season finale. (MORE) 
Matadors Split Friday Doubleheader with UC Davis 5/9/08 The Cal State Northridge softball team (22-24, 11-9) split a Big West Conference doubleheader Saturday with the UC Davis Aggies, dropping game one, 2-0, before rallying to take game two, 8-7. Senior Mercedes Lovato picked up her 18th win of the season in game two and junior Amanda Peek had five hits on the day to raise her season average to .413. (MORE)

Pair of Seventh Inning Rallies Propel Matador Softball to 1-0, 4-3 Victories over UC Riverside 5/3/08 The Cal State Northridge softball team (20-23, 9-8 BWC) rallied in the seventh inning twice for a pair of victories over UC Riverside Saturday afternoon at Amy S. Harrison Field. Northridge scored the game's only run on a bases-loaded walk in game one and rallied for four runs in the seventh in game two to secure the 4-3 victory. (MORE) 
Matadors to Tangle with Higlanders in Final Roadtrip of the Season 4/30/08 Hitting the road one final time this season, the Cal State Northridge softball team (18-23, 7-8 BWC) ventures to the Inland Empire of California to face UC Riverside in a three-game Big West series. The Matadors still possess hopes of finishing the season over .500, but will need to take their final six games of the season to do so. Last year, Northridge swept the series with the Highlanders.
