What are your expectations for the women's team at the Big West Championships this week?
This is the strongest team I've been involved with during my time at Cal State Northridge. I feel that if everyone performs to the best of their ability we could open up a few eyes.
You've played in a lot of tournaments in your career, do you feel any extra pressure playing for the conference championship?
Every tournament has it's own special worth but the end of the season conference championship carries its own special importance.
Speaking of your tournament career (not just at Northridge), what tournament do you feel you had your best performance?
My best performance was at the 2007 US Women's Public Links Championship, which features a great deal of the best players in the country. I had to pre-qualify to represent Southern California.
What is your favorite tournament to play?
I love all the tournaments however the Matador Invitational, our home event is my favorite. It's nice to have friends and family there.
You've played four years now for Coach Murphy, how has she changed over the years.
Bonnie has been a great mentor and friend to me. I've enjoyed every minute playing for her and the university. She has put together the most powerful group of players in my time here. Bonnie gets things done!
What are your fondest memories of playing golf at Cal State Northridge?
The humor, comraderie, and the the competitiveness of all the players on our team. I've made so many friends at tournaments and on our team. I'm going to miss the college golf experience so much. I feel so honored to be apart of a great program.
What are your plans after the season is over, are you planning of continuing your golf career?
I love the game so much that I couldn't imagine not competing at some level. At the end of May I have the US Open, and the US Women's Public Links Qualifier. In July I'll be trying for the US Women's Amateur Championship.
Do you see golf growing as a sport for young kids in the future?
No doubt, with the emergence of super stars like Lorena Ochoa, and Tiger Woods golf has become "HOT."
Who is the biggest comedian on the team?
Katrina Sutton! She has an effervescent personality and is so much fun to be around.
Your major is Journalism-Broadcasting, do you see yourself beginning a career in that field once your golf career is over?
Absolutely. It would be nice to marry the two. I would love to be involved in golf broadcasting.
