LINCOLN, Calif. -
Senior Eva Yoe is tied for 15th at +4, 148 but no other Northridge golfer is in the top 50 after two rounds of the NCAA Western Regional Preview at Lincoln Hills G.C. just outside of Sacramento.
Yoe carded rounds of +5, 77 and one-under-par 71 to finish Monday tied for 15th at +4, 148. Lucy Davies, in 55th-place, is the next Matador on the score sheet as the senior shot rounds of 79-76 and sits at +11, 155. Katrina Sutton is tied for 62nd at +12, 156 after rounds of 76-80, Ashlee Nagamine is tied for 79th at +16, 160 (80-80) and Krystina Gillenwater carded rounds of 79-83 and is tie for 86th at +18m 162.
In the team chase, 12th-ranked Denver holds a 12-stroke lead after the opening two rounds. Washington State is second at 297-293-590 and is followed by Oregon (300-292-592), UNLV (301-296-597), UC Irvine (299-299-598) and Fresno State (305-293-598) in the top five.
The Matadors carded team rounds of 311-307 for a two-round score of 618.
Individually, WSU's Amy Eneroth holds a 4-stroke lead. Eneroth opened with a round of 71 then blistered the course in the afternoon for a tournament low 68.
The tournament serves as a test run for most of the teams as Sacramento State will host the NCAA West Regional, May 8-10.
