Northridge Winds Up Seventh at Red Rocks Invitational

SEDONA, Ariz - Seniors Eva Yoe and Katrina Sutton both finished in the top 25 at the Red Rocks Invitational at Oak Creek C.C. As a team, the Matadors finished in seventh place at 655.

Yoe led the Matadors with a two-round +16, 160 which left her tied for 17th-place. She opened with a +6, 78 on Sunday and then carded a second round +10, 82 on Monday. Sutton also cracked the top 25 with a score of +19, 163. the senior opened with a +14, 86 but bounced back with a solid +5, 77 in round two.

Lucy Davies and Krystina Gillenwater both tied for 38th-place after each carded a two round +21, 166. Davies finished with rounds of 81-85 while Gillenwater came in with back-to-back scores of 83. Rounding out the Northridge scoring was Stephanie Aston who tied for 67th-place after posting a two round +30, 174 (88-86).

As a team, the Matadors (328-327--655) wound up 12 strokes behind sixth-place Wyoming (323-320--643). Eastern Michigan (311-315--626) claimed the team title by two shots over Western Michigan (309-319--628). Individually, Catherine Fortin (73-77--150) of Eastern Washington won individual medalist honors by one shot.
