Sophomore Ashlee Nagamine moved up from 10th to fifth but Cal State Northridge dropped from fifth to sixth after two rounds of the Morehead State Spring Kickoff at River Ridge G.C.
As a team, the Matadors followed up an opening-round 324 with a second round 328 as Northridge sits sixth in the eight-team field at 652. Florida International (595) holds a 36-shot lead over Eastern Michigan (631) while UC Riverside (634) is third followed by Morehead State (640) and Eastern Kentucky (646).
Nagamine, who carded an opening-round 78, fired a four over-par 76 on Tuesday and sits at (+10) 154 just nine shots off the pace set by Florida International's Paula Hurtado (+1) 145.
A second round 82 dropped senior Stephanie Aston from 13th to 18th as she sits at (+17) 161. Senior Katrina Sutton is tied for 27th after posting a four-shot improvement over Sunday's round. Sutton carded an 85 on Sunday and an 81 on Monday and is at (+22) 166. Sarah Windsor, who was tied for 24th on Sunday, slipped to 38th (+29, 173) after following up Sunday's 84 with a second round 89. Monique Huijsman, who was 23rd after an opening round 83, struggled to a 92 on Monday and is tied for 40th at (+31) 175.
The three-day tournament wraps up with a final round of 18 holes on Tuesday.
