Grant Hashimoto's fastest times include: 50 Freestyle in 22.56, 100 Freestyle in 48.62 and 200 Freestyle in 1:46.90 at the Big West Championships (2/17-20) ... 500 Freestyle in 5:09.03 and 200 Butterfly in 2:07.54 at the Cal Poly Shootout (11/06-07).

Born July 19, 1991 to Shary and James Hashimoto ... has one older sister, Paige ... is the fourth member of his family to attend a four-year university as his mother attended San Jose State and UC Santa Cruz while both his father and sister attended the University of Washington ... favorites include the San Jose Sharks, Clint Eastwood, "South Park", "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly", his mom's cooking, and Iron Maiden ... chose CSUN because of the weather, its location, and status as a Division-I school ... his greatest sports moment is making to to the D-I level with only four years of experience ... finds the best thing about being an athlete is the status, and the toughest thing is getting into a cold pool to purposely experience discomfort ... when he has time to relax he reads ... feels his sport could be improved by receiving more publicity ... would like to switch places for a day with Stephan Winhelmann (President of Lamborghini) ... if he won a million dollars he would make sure his family lives comfortably ... the best advice he has ever been given is to "work hard" ... no one knows how much he hates whiny, materialistic girls ... cannot imagine going a week without laughing ... the one thing that always makes him smile is winning ... his greatest hero is Dia Rianda because he really respects the way she carries herself and positively affects those around her ... majoring in Liberal Studies.
