Final Round 305 Leaves Northridge in Sixth Place at Braveheart Classic

BEAUMONT, Calif. - The Cal State Northridge men's golf team carded a final round 305 to complete the Braveheart Classic in sixth place with a team score of 924 (316-303-305). Freshman Nick Delio and junior Erik Jarvey each tied for a Northridge-best 13th at +13, 229.

Delio completed rounds of 80-71-78 while Jarvey came in with rounds of 77-81-71. Delio's second round 71 and Jarvey's final round 71 were the only two rounds under par for the Matadors in the tournament. Clint Oleson competed as an individual and carded a Northridge-low -2, 70 in round two.

Senior Aaron Hobbs came in tied for 36th at +18, 234 after rounds of 80-74-80, junior Chris Satterlee tied for 47th at +20, 236 with scores of 79-80-77 and Kyle Nicolson tied for 57th at +22, 238 after rounds of 81-78-79.

The Matadors also sent four individuals to compete as Oleson (83-70-83) finished tied for 36th at +18, 234, John Gilles (84-74-78) tied for 47th at +20, 236, Jason Rosenkranz (82-75-82) and Greg Gauvin (79-80-80) both tied for 62nd at +23, 239.

Cal State Northridge returns to action next Monday and Tuesday, Mar. 10-11 as the Matadors head to Fresno State.
