Ryan Dodd is in his second season as Director of Basketball Operations at Cal State Northridge. Dodd began as the video coordinator with the Matadors in 2006-07.
Prior to his time at CSUN, Dodd spent 2004-06 as the associate head coach at Servite High School in Anaheim, Ca. The Friars were 32-24 during his tenure at Servite. He also coached at St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower, Ca.
Dodd graduated from Servite High School where he earned all-region honors and served as team captain. He finished his senior season averaging 15 points, eleven rebounds and four assists per game. Always committed to winning, Dodd won a California Division III state championship in 1990, and followed it up with a CIF Southern Section championship in 1991. Dodd also competed in football (all-league and all-state as a tight end).
In addition to prepping at Servite, Dodd was a walkon football player at UCLA during the 1992 season. Pursuing his basketball career, Dodd left UCLA and played basketball for one season at Cypress College in 1995-96.
Dodd graduated from UCLA in 2000 with a BA Degree in Sociology.
Dodd and his wife, Rosario, live in North Hills.
