D'Anna Finishes Summer League As Ninth-Ranked Prospect

NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - Matador sophomore Dominic D'Anna finished summer league competition as the 9th-best overall prospect in the MINK (Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas) League.

The 6-1 first baseman hit a league leading .404 for the Chillicothe (Missouri) Mudcats, propelling his team to a 32-16 (23-11 MINK League) record, and a second-place finish.

After a solid freshman season where D'Anna hit .262, with one home run and 13 RBI for the Matadors, D'Anna continued his stellar play at the plate throughout the summer months.

In addition to D'Anna's .404 batting average, he led the Mudcats in a variety of categories including total hits (65), runs (38), doubles (15), home runs (5), RBI (34), and total bases (97).
