Belanger earned three letters as an outfielder at Cypress High School in Cypress, Calif. ... was a first team All-Empire League selection in 2004 and 2005 and was also named team Most Valuable Player ... the Centurians won Empire League championships in both 2003 and 2004 ... also won league and CIF titles in 2005 ... hit .422 with 38 hits and 16 stolen bases in 2005 ... graduated in 2005 with a 3.83 grade point average.
