In his final season at Cal State Northridge, C.J. Belanger earned All-Big West Conference Second Team honors, tied with Ryan Pineda for the most multiple hit games with 22, had 11 multiple RBI games, finished second on the team with his 16 doubles, drove in the third-highest number of runs with 43, scored 41 times, hit four home runs, and stole six bases ... prior to this season, his best season at the plate took place during his freshman season (2007) when the outfielder finished with a .261 average. Belanger started a team-high 53 games as the Matadors' primary rightfielder ... batted .261 with a home run and 20 RBI's ... swiped eight bases, third-best on the team ... led the Matadors with 27 walks ... collected a season-high three hits seven times ... went 10-for-16 with seven RBI's in his first four games as a Matador ... pieced together a six-game hit streak from Mar. 18 to Apr. 3 ... on Apr. 7 against Cal Poly, went 3-for-5 with a home run, scored twice and drove in a pair of RBI's ... led the team with six triples ... smacked a pinch-hit double against Cal Poly on Apr. 6 ... went 3-for-3 with, a double, a triple, and four runs scored in the Matadors' 9-4 win vs. Pacific on May 26 ... went 1-for-1 with a season-high five RBI on Jan. 27 vs. UNLV ... batted .326 at Matador Field.

2006

Belanger redshirted the 2006 season as a freshman.

CYPRESS HIGH SCHOOL

Earned three letters as an outfielder at Cypress High School in Cypress, Calif. ... was a first team All-Empire League selection in 2004 and 2005 and was also named team Most Valuable Player ... the Centurians won Empire League championships in both 2003 and 2004 ... also won league and CIF titles in 2005 ... hit .422 with 38 hits and 16 stolen bases in 2005 ... graduated in 2005 with a 3.83 grade point average.
