In his first season at Cal State Northridge, Chris Allen played in 26 games, starting on six occasions ... finished his inaugural season with 33 at-bats, scored six times including the game-winning run in CSUN's 3-2 extra-inning contest vs. Long Beach State on May 21st, drove in three runs on the season and hit a double ... was named this year's recipient of the Lyman Bostock Memorial Scholarship ... drove in two RBIs vs. Bethune-Cookman (2/19) ... stole his first base as a Matador vs. Connecticut (3/5) ... drove in his third RBI of the season vs. Connecticut (3/6) ... was hit by a pitch and scored against Sacramento State (3/27) ... finished with one hit in his only at-bat and scored a run at Pepperdine (4/6, Gm. 2) ... went 1-for-2 with a double vs. Cal State Bakersfield (4/11) ... scored a run against San Diego State (4/13) ... scored a run and drew a walk vs. SDSU (4/13) ... was hit by a pitch vs. UC Davis (5/1) ... led off the 11th inning with a single and scored the game-winning run vs. Long Beach State (5/21).


Allen earned three letters playing at first base and outfield for Head Coach Tom Quinley at Charter Oak Christian High School. In his senior season, he won the league batting title while leading the Chargers to a Miramonte League Championship. Allen helped Charter Oak to league titles in each of his three years playing on the baseball team. Allen was named to the All-League First Team twice and to the Second Team once. Allen also played for the Charger football team, helping the school win a CIF Championship.
