Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred. Demonstrated coaching or competitive experience at the collegiate level; good communication and organizational skills; knowledge and understanding of NCAA regulations; strong commitment to the academic achievement of student-athletes; the ability to act as a mentor and leader; and the commitment and ability to work with a diverse student population. CSUN is a Learning Centered University. The successful candidate will be expected to join faculty and staff in a commitment to active learning, to the assessment of learning outcomes, and to multiple pathways that enable students to graduate. At time of appointment, the successful candidate, if not a U.S. citizen, must have authorization from the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services to work in the United States. Responsibilities: Assist the Head Coach with all areas of the men's basketball program including coaching and implementing practice plans; identifying, evaluating, and recruiting athletically and academically qualified student-athletes; travel arrangements; and fostering academic, athletic and personal growth of student-athletes.
