Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach

Jeff Crelling joined the Cal State Northridge strength and conditioning staff in November of 2010 as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning coach. He develops and implements the training programs for Women's basketball, Men's and Women's soccer, Men's volleyball, and Women's tennis. Prior to joining Cal State Northridge, coach Crelling was an assistant Strength and Conditioning coach at the Univerisy of California Davis where he developed speed, strength and conditioning programs for five Division 1 teams.

Jeff received his Masters in physical education from the University of Nebraska Omaha where he served as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach, and received his Bachelors in Exercise Science from Virginia Commonwealth University where he served his internship for two years.

Coach Crelling holds his strength and conditioning specialist certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and his USA weightlifting certificaction.

Crelling earned his undergraduate degree in health, physical education and exercise science from VCU in 2005. Crelling then obtained his masters degree in physical education/coaching from Nebraska-Omaha in 2008.

Crelling is an active member of Mid-America Martial Arts. He is also a former competitive power lifter and a member of the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition team in Virginia for four years.
