California State University Northridge. Strength and Conditioning Assistant Position. California State University, Northridge Department of Athletics is seeking qualified candidates for a Strength and Conditioning graduate student assistant for the 2008-09 academic year. This is a 10-month position.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: developing and monitoring strength training programs for athletic teams; instruction in proper lifting techniques and speed development; testing and evaluating physical performance; overseeing operation and general maintenance of weight activities; communicating with Athletic Training staff in regards to athletic injury and rehabilitation. Minimum requirement: Bachelor's degree in related field of sport/exercise science / First Aid and CPR Certification. Meets admission requirements for graduate studies in Kinesiology, Health Sciences, or related major. Preferred requirements: minimum 1 year working in collegiate environment, C.S.C.S or NASM-PES certification. Includes annual stipend of $18,000.
