Cal State Northridge student-athletes will participate in the nationally renowned "Save a Life" Tour, a tech-savvy multimedia alcohol educational program and drunk-driving simulator. The program will make a stop at the USU's Northridge Center on Tuesday April 8th from 2 to 8 pm!

The Tour is part of the "Matador Buzz", a diverse, dynamic and exciting event for the CSUN student community that helps students learn about the risks and consequences of alcohol overuse and abuse and how to avoid them. Sponsored by a grant from the Office of Traffic Safety, "Matador Buzz" and the "Save a Life" Tour are brought to you by the Klotz Student Health Center, in partnership with the University Student Union, the CSUN Department of Public Safety, and the CSUN Intercollegiate Athletic Department.

Students will have a hands-on experience with the "most realistic sophisticated drunk driving simulator in the country," participate in role-plays designed to educate and empower students on how to navigate challenging circumstances related to alcohol, and many other interactive activities.

The Klotz SHC registered dietitian and Peer Nutrition Counselors will provide information on alcohol's effects on the body, University Counseling Services Psychologists will be joining the SHC Wellness Coach in guiding students through role-plays that help teach safe choices and skills, non-alcoholic "Mock-tails" will be served by the SHC Alive and Well Peer Educators, and MADD and Public Safety will help students experience and learn from the Fatal Vision Goggles that mimic the vision and motor changes associated with alcohol intoxication.
