Answer "I believe, by far, that decathletes and heptathletes are the best athletes in the world. They have to be great in either seven events (heptathlon) and or ten events (decathletes), not just great in one event."

Men: Drew Muren, Baseball
Freshman utility man Drew Muren earns Student-Athlete of the Week honors after he tossed five scoreless innings, scattering four hits in a 4-2 win over UNLV in non-conference action. Muren added two hits for the week in a pair of starts. The Northridge baseball team was 2-2 for the week.

Women: Amanda Peek, Softball
Junior Amanda Peek receives this week's Student-Athlete of the Week award after hitting .667 with two home runs against UC Davis over the weekend. Peek finished the season hitting .415, second in the Big West Conference, and the sixth-best mark in school history.
